Face to Face

See these 2 girls? They were once the same person. As a graphic design project I am going to be taking headshots of people and altering them to look like different people. Its to show what the modeling and advertisement industry is capable of these days. If you're interested in participating, contact me. Or, if you have any ideas.

Teenage Dirtbag

Just watched a movie the other day titled "Teenage Dirtbag". It followed the lives of 2 teenagers who were polar opposites but became friends one year in school through an intense creative writing class. One of them had a rough life, alcoholic dad, violent brother, etc. The other was rich, popular, fortunate, etc. Somehow they managed to find a common ground through writing to each other in different classes.

This was an incredibly moving story. It gives you the opportunity to see both sides of what High School students are like. It also shows that even if you don't have anything obvious in common, you can still see eye to eye with someone else.

OFFICIAL RATING: If you're looking for a worthwhile drama that makes you really think about taking things for granted, this definitely worth it.

Enjoy :)

I'll procrastinate tomorrow...

I haven't posted in a while. (Not that it matters considering no one reads this thing anyway.) But I am mentioning it because it was only because of procrastination. That crazy voice in your head saying "I'll do it tomorrow. I would rather watch TV". Or that other voice saying "Dude. No ones reading it anyway. Or, you're no good at that instrument. Or even, do you really think your mac n cheese will taste good?"

Unfortunately, most people listen to those voices. Because it turns out everyone in the world qualifies as a self-conscious pushover. So I didn't post. Because I figured that the voice inside my head was right. I'm not some idealist who wants to be heard. I'm just someone who was bored needed something to occupy my time. That's why I find it ironic that I was trying to do this to occupy my time and wound up trying to find other things to do so I wouldn't have to do it.

Fact of life: I bet you only 7 people will read this post. 5 of them will be people I know. 3 of those 5 will skim over most of it. So why am I writing?

I like to hear myself talk.

But I don't like to hear myself talk THAT much. So I will leave the remaining 4 people who read this entire post to ponder on procrastination. I bet you're wondering if I procrastinated on writing this post. Think about it.

Love Me DEAD Vietnam...

Alternative rock band named "Ludo"!  They have a very distinct sound so it's best to just give you some examples!

Listen away!

Also...

I watched a pretty good movie about the Vietnam War the other day called "Good Morning Vietnam". It's a Robin Williams movie about a man who takes over as a radio DJ for the men at war. He wound up making a big difference by providing laughter for them even though the jokes he was making invited some controversies.

OFFICIAL RATING: Check this movie out! It's funny and entertaining.

Flight of the Conchords

I like how I started out coming up with clever titles for my posts, and the farther I go the lazier I get...

If you're a fan of music and dry humor you'll fall in love with the show "Flight of the Conchords"! This show is centered around 2 best friends named Bret and Jemaine who moved from their hometown in New Zealand to the United States to pursue their career in the music business. Neither of them know how to manage living in a city on very low salary, so they have a bit of a struggle. Every episode the singing duo breaks out into song about how they're feeling or what's happening at the very moment. It's very dry straight-forward humor, and the songs are hilarious!

OFFICIAL RATING: If you like music and humor, watch this show!

Hot In Cleveland

I was sifting through Netflix yesterday and came across this show called Hot In Cleveland. I figured it was some reality TV show, but decided to click on it anyway. Thankfully I did! This show is hilarious!

3 best friends are taking a trip from Los Angeles (where they live) to Paris on a getaway! They were expecting romance and an escape from their everyday lives. That's exactly what they would have gotten...if their plane hadn't wound up landing in Cleveland, Ohio. Since Joy, Victoria, and Melanie are well into their 40's and are no longer considered "hotties", they decided to stay in Cleveland on account of the sudden attention men began to give them there. There is only one catch: The house they decided to move into came with an elderly caretaker named Elka who can't seem to keep herself away from them.

This show is hilarious. Betty White plays the role of the caretaker, so you can't go wrong. Every episode is filled with another crazy attempt at finding men. You won't get bored of this show.

OFFICIAL RATING: In the mood for a funny sitcom? Check this out!

Joy: How do I look?

Elka: Like you stepped out of a painting........OF HOOKERS!

Enjoy it!
